Ronald Ddungu, is a teacher of Mathematics and Physics at Gayaza High School. He has been teaching for the last 22 years and currently a Deputy Principal in charge of academics and ICT developments at his school. Ronald holds a Master of Arts in education management of Makerere University, Uganda. His masters’ dissertation was entitled “Factors influencing effective utilization of Information and Communication Technologies among Secondary School Teachers in Wakiso District, Uganda”.

Ronald has together with the other teachers in his school pioneered the development of a school based E-learning platform (http://etutoring.gayazahs.sc.ug)that seeks to connect the classrooms across schools in Uganda and globally. Working with his students he is currently developing an E-Market library which is an online space that will feature documentaries of local enterprises within Uganda to support the much needed practical and entrepreneurial education within schools. Ronald is also pioneering the integration of mobile Apps development onto the school curriculum with the hope that this will usher the education sector into mobile learning. He is also at the forefront of the Farm Camp Concept that seeks to integrate Agricultural education into the curriculum for a more self-sufficient Ugandan community.
