Session Description

"How We as Students Can Better Welcome Refugees into Our Communities" will be a discussion on how we, as students, can better integrate and welcome refugees into our schools and communities.  The discussion will start with identifying why refugees leave their countries, then it will move to how refugees most likely feel when they are relocating to a new home, and finally it will finish on how students can make refugees feel welcomed into their new communities.

What will youth learn and be able to do at the end of the session?

The goal of "How We as Students Can Better Welcome Refugees into Our Communities" is to inform and create discussion between students on the problems that refugees face in their lives.  At the end of the round table discussion, students will be more equipped to include refugees into their communities and make them feel welcomed.
