Mourad Benali MEARN Country Coordinator

Mourad Benali holds a PHD on the impact of mobile technologies on academic learning. His interest to the integration of ICTs in education manifested itself very early in the 1990s. In 2010, Mourad Benali was awarded by the Moroccan Ministry of Education and Microsoft as an innovative teacher on the field of ICTs in education. Active at the national, regional and international levels have earned him the merit of joining the Executive Board of SchoolNet Africa in 2002 and Executive Council of iEAR) in 2013.

In 2004, Mourad BENALI founded Moroccan Network of Education and Resources (MEARN). This non-profit organization, since its inception, will position itself as a quality national player in the promotion of the use of ICT in the areas of training, education and capacity building of NGOs. In July 2017,  MEARN entrusted Mr. Mourad Benali with the leadership of the iEARN International Conference and Youth Summit, with more than 300 teachers and young people from more than 45 countries around the world. Mourad Benali was actively involved in the elaboration of the white paper on climate change in collaboration with the Global Education Center based in Canada. This document was presented by young people from several countries of the world at the COP22 which took place in Marrakech in Morocco in November 2016.
